Let's hope Jesus has a sense of humor

Got this from the Hippiekid today.

HK: Mom, What is it we're celebrating on Easter?

(He knows this, but for some reason was wanting me to explain again. Or it was a test- he does that sometimes.  I was frosting our Easter Cake and frankly, was in no mood to do a whole Sunday school lesson. Yeah, I'm lazy like that.)

Me: When Jesus arose from the dead. The resurrection of Jesus Christ.

HK: Well, it sure took him long enough. Me, I'd a jumped right up and said 'Hey, who made me dead? I'm not dead'

Yeah, me too. Who wants to lie around in a big drafty ol' tomb.
HippieKid is one clever cowpoke.

That is great, Kids say the best things. Hippies in Texas? I had no idea. Wow, I will be chewing on that all day. Just the thought makes me happy. What is that bummper sticker... Don't believe everything you think...and I was thinking Texas was all cowboys and oil men. HIPPIES!!! Who knew.

I'm with the HippieKid, it sure did take a long time. My son likes to announce that "no one can rise from the dead" to my evangelical brother.

*snort*

oh my gosh, that is hilarious! God totally has a sense of humor, so I don't think He'll mind. lol.
